I Turned 44, Quit My Job, Started a Record Label and Went to Therapy…You Should Too!

Ok, maybe you shouldn’t, none of this was planned and it’s all still an ongoing circus of a decision. That being said, I felt like I had no choice but to follow my passion and for once in my life, I did.

Music has always been my biggest passion. I wanted to be Steve Harris (bassist/songwriter for Iron Maiden) since I was six years old. He still holds that job so as you can see I had to switch gears. I knew music was where I wanted to be but life tends to throw you many curve balls. Growing up in a single parent home with little money and the start of a life long battle with depression starting around nine years old, dreams tends to be pushed aside.

As life went on I did the college thing, graduated and got a “real” job. Those jobs were followed by many other “real” jobs, mostly in sales and/or marketing positions for big and not so big companies alike. After about 20 years or so in corporate America, a marriage and two kids, I had a very new and exciting perspective on life. Life had more meaning now, less about me and more about others. At the same time though, I knew I had to do something for me. Something I loved and was extremely passionate about in order to be truly happy.
