It's interesting to see how other people view this subject. I do it all the time as well. When I was freelancing for a music festival magazine in 2007 I was sent to Chicago to cover Lollapalooza. I had as much interest (if not more) in the lesser known bands than the main acts, except maybe Ben Harper, Muse, and Pearl Jam, just to see who would "make it". I predicted one right...sort of, and that was The Fratellis.
